Mosquito Abatement The mission of the South Salt Lake Valley Mosquito Abatement District is to safeguard the health, safety, welfare, and comfort of the public by controlling mosquitoes and blackflies. The District emphasizes safety, high standards, environmental awareness, cost efficency, responsibility and leadership in its public directed program. The District's integrated pest management program consists of surveillance, biological and chemical control, source reduction, education, cooperation with other agencies and legislation.
