Utah State Law 52-4-207 provides that electronic meetings may be held, provided that "...the public body has adopted a resolution, rule, or ordinance governing the use of electronic meetings."

The Utah Association of Special Districts has prepared a template entitled "Electronic Board Meeting Procedures Template" to assist districts in adopting an resolution or rule that will allow a district to convene an electronic meeting.
